Cambridge Primary Programme takes learners on an exciting educational journey. Typically for 5 to 11-year-olds, the programme provides a strong foundation at the beginning of their schooling before progressing through the Cambridge Pathway in an age-appropriate way.

The Cambridge Primary Curriculum is a framework for children’s primary education, based on the education system of the UK. It is an international curriculum that is used in over 160 countries around the world.

The programme focuses on engaging children in global topics, getting them to think critically and developing a passion for learning. It has been designed to provide learners with a solid foundation, which they can build upon as they progress through further education.

What are the benefits of the Cambridge Primary Programme?

The Cambridge Primary Curriculum encourages children to be creative and innovative, improving their independent thinking skills and allowing them to develop a love for learning.

What subjects are included in the Cambridge Primary Curriculum?

The Cambridge Primary Curriculum is a flexible programme which can be easily adapted to suit the needs of a particular school. For example, it can be incorporated into a bilingual or multilingual curriculum.

There are six stages in Cambridge Primary curriculum framework, with core and optional subjects offered at each stage.

The core subjects:

  • English (or English as a Second Language) - Reading, Writing and Speaking/ Listening.
  • Mathematics - Number, Measure, Geometry, Data Handling, Problem-Solving.
  • Science - Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Scientific Enquiry.

Each of the above subjects is taught from stages 1 to 6, with each new stage building on children’s knowledge from previous years.

Apart from these core subjects, there are additional subjects which can be included in the curriculum:

  • Music
  • Art and Design
  • Digital Literacy S
  • Global Perspectives
  • Physical Education

These subjects are designed to enrich children’s schooling experience, providing them with a set of varied and transferable skills.

Global Perspective is a unique skill-based subject included in the Cambridge Primary Curriculum. It focuses on encouraging children to think globally, covering topics on working and collaborating with other countries. It’s available for children in stages 1-6 and is delivered through six challenges each year.

The Cambridge Primary Programme is curated to develop Mathematics, English and Science skills in young children.
